Alison Botica profileAlison has 25 years hands-on knowledge of the exacting demands of being an estimator in the aluminium industry.

Her role requires precise costing for clients’ designs to be competitive but at the same time, to be accurate.  No-one wants a surprise at the end of a job, neither the customer nor the Company so Alison’s role is crucial for everyone.

“I enjoy spending time with my husband and family over sporting activities and family gatherings. With an interest in marathons and half-marathons I have been participating in since 1991. Reading, knitting, patchwork, baking are also my hobbies.

Lewis Trickett

Lewis is new to the estimating department. His Aluminium Joinery career commenced on the factory floor, then worked his way up to Factory Foreman. And now with his computer skills and technical knowledge of our joinery range we have had him step into an estimating position where he will play an integral part in that team, three days a week.

The remainder of Lewis’s week is spent on something new to Windowmakers - KAIZEN. This is a Japanese theory meaning continuous improvement. It allows Lewis to observe and participate in each facet of the business and identify things that could be improved to make the work flow perfect or as close to it as possible. At the end of the day this means that in everything we do we strive for the most beneficial and efficient way to do it and this of course benefits you – our customers.

Outside of work Lewis has a small family of which he is very proud, and spends any spare time with them. He is also a volunteer at the Silverdale Fire Brigade.
