Our Difference

A Step by Step Guide

Windowmakers understands what's required to keep your project on track. That's why we do our best to make it a smooth process and keep you up to date on how your project's joinery fabrication is progressing.

The Windowmakers Way- Our Seven Step Working Process.

We are one of Auckland’s largest aluminium joinery fabricators and what sets us apart from our competitors is our process driven approach in order to deliver outstanding customer service.

We establish quality, (and often) long-tem relationships with our clients, whether you’re an architect, specifier, builder, project manager or homeowner.

We understand what's required to keep your project on track and on budget. Here are our simple seven milestones which illustrate our collaborative work approach to ensure we always exceed your expectations.

01

Introduce

Every project is different and we understand that people have their own ways of working. Our processes are designed to fit in with yours. First of all, let’s set up a meeting. We’re happy to come to you at your offices, on-site, or at your home. We can also welcome you at our purpose-built design centre at Silverdale. Featuring a large interactive aluminium window and door displays, you will experience at first-hand the high standard of workmanship and quality of our finished joinery.

02

Establish

We aim to provide the ultimate service for our clients and for us this means establishing a quality relationship right from the beginning. The better we know you, the more we’ll understand your joinery requirements. We also want you to get to know us. You’ll be given a dedicated project manager to ensure consistency throughout your build. However big or small your project is, you will have on-going access to your Windowmakers project manager who will be your day-to-day contact. Rest assured, all of our team know about aluminium joinery fabrication, and more importantly they understand where joinery fits in with the building and construction process.

03

Design

It’s not just about the aesthetics, it’s about functionality in design. Extrusion types, joinery suites, wind loadings and engineering can all be quite complex, so our team of designers will work with you to better understand your window and door requirements, before our engineers develop the technical joinery solutions that are compatible with your design.

04

Schedule

It’s our job to co-ordinate with all personnel on-site to schedule deliveries to arrive at the right time during a build. Once we've identified the perfect joinery solutions for your project, we will provide you with a detailed cost estimate along with the lead times required for production, delivery to site and installation. This can also include project managing the glass installers if required.

05

Produce

In order to gain a competitive advantage and manufacture to the highest standards, we have continued to invest in the best state-of-the-art technology available globally. Our large purpose-built factory in Silverdale houses precision Italian engineering in the form of electronic cutting and machining equipment, guaranteeing your joinery has an accurate, perfect finish every time.

06

Deliver

We understand that building sites are busy places and that co-ordination is required to make sure delivery of your joinery is scheduled in line with the site manager’s requirements. With our own fleet of vehicles, we will deliver your joinery to site— doing our best to ensure everything runs smoothly. Consistency across the project helps to minimise potential issues.

07

Success

Once we have undertaken a site visit, provided a warranty and received official sign off from the site manager, the joinery aspect of your project is complete. In most cases this is only the beginning of an on-going relationship with Windowmakers.
