Frequently-asked questions

Can Duralloy and Duralloy +Plus® be mixed on the same job?

Note that a majority of the colours in the Duralloy +Plus® have been transitioned close to their exact matches from the standard Duralloy range. In these instances, both formulations can be used on the same job.

However, the following colors may differ slightly in colour, so should not be mixed on jobs. Please note that in this case, the standard Duralloy range will be made available to allow for job completion.

  1. Metro Coal Dust Matt

  2. Window Bronze

  3. Palladium Silver Matt

  4. Metro Silver Pearl

  5. Metro Electric Cow Matt

  6. O'Keefe Grey Matt

  7. Karaka Matt

  8. Windsor Grey Matt

  9. Off White Matt

  10. Permanent Green Matt

  11. Arctic White Matt

What warranty is available if I start a job in Duralloy and complete it in Duralloy +Plus®?

In these circumstances, the standard Durraloy range warranty applies.

Can Duralloy +Plus® and Protexture™ be used in environments that are close to liquids aside from the ocean?

The environment must be greater than one metre for interior/exterior warranty in environments that are close to chemically treated or salt water liquids like swimming pools, fountains, or showers.

What Powdercoat range is best suited for my project?

We would like to note that the transition from the standard Duralloy formula to Durraloy +Plus® means that in projects where we may have previously specified Duratec, we would now use Durraloy +Plus®. With that said, if you're wanting to see whether Durraloy +Plus®, Duratec, or Protexture™ is most suited to your project; click here to compare the three finishes' formulas.

Otherwise, by choosing to work with Windowmakers on your upcoming project, we will use our expertise to specify the most applicable finish.

If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to be in touch.
