Aluminium Sliding Door Configurations.

Standard

Standard aluminium sliding doors feature parallel panels with one panel that slides horizontally to open.

Double

Double sliding doors feature two parallel panels that offer flexible operation, allowing you to choose which panel to open.

Bi-Parting

Bi-parting sliding doors feature two panels that slide open from the center, meeting at a fixed panel when closed. This design provides a wide opening, allowing for approximately half of the door’s total width to be opened at once.

Stacking

Stacker doors consist of multiple operable panels that slide horizontally and stack against one another when opened, allowing for expansive and minimally obstructed openings.

Overlights & Skylights

Windows can be incorporated on either side or above the sliding door. Overlights and sidelights can be fixed or operable for increased ventilation and natural light in the space.

Overwall & Cavity

Overwall aluminium sliding doors are mounted on the surface of the wall and slide along an exposed track, allowing them to operate without requiring wall space for recessing. Cavity aluminium sliding doors slide into a recess within the wall, disappearing from view when open, which saves space and maintains a clean, uninterrupted room design. Both types offer functional and aesthetic benefits for versatile interior layouts.

Corner

Corner sliding doors feature two sliding panels that intersect at a corner, creating a seamless transition between two adjacent spaces, ideal for enhancing open-plan spaces.

Are Sliding Doors the Right Choice?

It's no surprise that aluminium sliding doors are a popular choice for modern projects, offering numerous benefits and versatile applications. Our seasoned team will leverage their expertise to help you select the ideal door option for your project, whether that’s a sliding door or another option that better suits your needs.

View Maximising: Narrow aluminium frames combined with large glass panels ensure that, even when shut, sliding doors provide uninterrupted and maximized views.

Partial Opening: Sliding doors can be adjusted to suit weather conditions, allowing for partial opening during cold, wet weather and full opening on hot summer days.

Space Maximising: Unlike traditional hinged or bi-fold doors, which require clearance for swinging, sliding doors operate along a track. This design makes them ideal for space-constrained areas, as they do not intrude into the space when opened.

Indoor-Outdoor Flow: Sliding doors, featuring seamless flush sills and a sliding track operation, provide a full opening between interior and exterior environments, making them ideal for projects where outdoor entertainment is a priority.

Complete Your Energy Efficient Window System.

With the recent updates to the H1 New Zealand Building Code requiring high-performance insulated glass units with Low-E coatings in thermally enhanced frames, our sliding glass door ranges offer advanced energy-efficient solutions.

Each range includes thermal break aluminium frames equipped with ThermalHEART® technology, incorporating a polyamide strip at the core to act as a barrier between hot and cold transfer. For optimal energy efficiency, ThermalHEART® sliding door frames are paired with The AGP System® Low-E argon filled double glazing to nearly doubling the thermal performance of standard windows and doors.

The Centrafix™ installation system can be applied to Metro Series windows and doors to increase thermal performance by an additional 20%. It recesses frames into the building wall, aligning all insulation elements to prevent cold air circulation and reduce the thermal losses typical of standard installations.
